Meet Dr. Davis
Many patients start treatment feeling self-conscious about their teeth; this discomfort has an impact across all aspects of their lives. During the treatment process, as we gently shift their teeth into proper position, the individual’s appearance changes. These changes are apparent from visit to visit, and each patient can see the progress they’re making.
By the time treatment is complete, my patients have stable and functional bites, healthy and straight teeth, and beautiful smiles. Their self-esteem has blossomed and their new-found confidence is obvious in every smile they share.
As an orthodontist, every day, I get to see the vast improvement in people’s appearance, self-esteem, and confidence. This is immensely rewarding: I cannot imagine a more fulfilling profession!

Although he has practiced orthodontics for more than 25 years, Dr. Davis understands the importance of staying current with the latest advancements. These developments change the diagnostics, treatment planning, and treatment processes, which makes orthodontics more efficient, effective, and comfortable.

Beyond the Practice
Raised in Fremont, in the San Francisco Bay area, Dr. Davis has resided in San Diego for almost 30 years. Cynthia, his wife, is the Davis Orthodontics office manager. The couple has two adult daughters: Heather is an attorney and married to John, who is also an attorney, and Alyssa will soon graduate from the Royal Veterinary College in London, UK.
Dr. Davis’s interests, beyond creating smiles, often take him outdoors. He enjoys running several days a week and likes hiking, skiing, fishing, and biking, too. He’s also an accomplished photographer, specializing in nature photography. All of the outdoor photos displayed on this website were taken by Dr. Davis.
